David Chovanec, Corena LaBansky and Peter Chovanec are the Sea Serpent Productions' founders, owners, freelance artists and graphic designers.

Sea Serpent Productions is a fast-growing, artist-owned, apparel and gifts online store, and a graphic design & productions company. We think of, sketch out, and illustrate our own unique, funny, weird, crazy, and wild graphic-designs that can't be found anywhere else. Many of these designs are then professionally transferred on top-quality merchandise such as: t-shirts, other apparel, mugs, stickers, buttons, mouse pads, wall calendars, and other exciting products and gifts, that are all available for purchase at our online store.

Sea Serpent Productions is a Graphic Design Production company, as well as fast-growing, unique, Apparel & Gifts online store.  The whole thing was started in the early months of 2005 by three artist: David Chovanec, Peter Chovanec, and Corena LaBansky as a family owned and operated business.  David and Peter are brothers, and Corena is David's fiancé.  They're the sole owners and operators of Sea Serpent Productions, taking care of all the artistic and crazy stuff that's going on behind the scenes.


In case you're wondering why they picked the "Sea Serpent Productions" name, it's because they wanted to pay a little tribute to their first large-scale project, which was the Sea Monsters Calendar.  That wall calendar is filled with number of different sea monster and sea serpent creatures, which provide plenty of influence during the name picking decision times.

What David, Peter and Corena do is, they draw and paint unique, funny, weird, crazy, provocative and wild, illustrations that are then professionally printed on high quality merchandise, which can be then purchased at their Sea Serpent Productions Marketplace online store.  Most of these graphic designs are created using variety of different 2D and 3D digital applications.  Some special projects require the use of pencils, pens, brushes and paints, when a more traditional look is needed.  The art tools that they use range from a basic old fashion pencil, ink pens, watercolors, acrylics and oil paints, followed by state-of-the-art digital applications such as Corel Painter, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3DSMAX, Maya, etc.


David and Peter are self-taught, freelance, graphic designers and illustrators.  Each has over seven years of experience working with 2D & 3D digital graphics, 3D modeling, texturing, 3D world / landscape construction, as well as traditional drawing and painting skills.  Corena is working with David on many of these art projects, providing an essential project related research, bringing in fresh design ideas, plus offering general advice and support. 
 

David is the older brother of two, he lives in Oregon near Salem with Corena.  He is the primary Sea Serpent Productions' graphics designer, illustrator, and a Sea Serpent Productions' website webmaster.
 

Peter lives in Northern California, Marin County Bay Area.  These days he is only involved with some of Sea Serpent Productions projects.  In his spare time he often takes part in 3D graphic challenges in places like Renderosity & Wings 3D.  He also maintains his own separate, art oriented website, that he calls: PC's Crummy Little Site.  His website is full of amazing 3D models, images, and tutorials, so come check it out!
